Whether you want to enjoy a memorable night out, learn a new skill, take part in a sporting challenge, help others or just get out and about, there’s a host of great events lined up for the days and weeks ahead in the Portadown, Lurgan and Craigavon areas.
Here are some dates you might want to put in your calendar.
5. Portadown Big Bucket Collection - Friday, March 8
Southern Area Hospice fundraising officer, Alison Donaghy, is pictured launching the ‘Big Bucket Collection’ which will take place in Portadown on Friday, March 8. The Hospice is seeking volunteers to make the collection a ‘big’ success, with funds raised enabling the Hospice to continue providing specialist palliative care and support to people living in the Southern Trust area. A further collection will take place across the Southern Trust area on Friday, March 22 with an aim to raise £40,000 in just one day for Hospice services. £40,000 could fund two weeks of 24-hour inpatient nursing care for up to 14 patients. Could you and your family, friends or work colleagues volunteer in Portadown town centre or in one of the Portadown stores? If you would like to take part, Southern Area Hospice would love to hear from you. To give a helping hand, please contact Rosie on 028 3026 7711 or email [email protected].
