We didn’t kill the game off says McGeeney
The mis-placed pass saw Erne player Ryan Jones grab a share of the spoils with a late point which has put Armagh into an uncomfortable position as they look forward to the trip to face Clare on Sunday.
The Armagh boss said, “Maybe we should have had our keeper hitting the free, at the end of the game, the referee was telling Charlie Vernon to hurry up. He was going to throw the ball up as was the case in the first half.”

Hide AdMcGenny thought his side had played well enough to win the game.
“ I thought we had a good second half, but just didn’t kill off the game. We just could get the scores.
“ I thought out support play was good and I believe we defended well at times.”
Armagh had great performances coming from Finnian Moriarty, captain Kieran McKeever and Grange pairing Michael McKenna and Ethan Rafferty.
Speaking about McKenna’s performance the Armagh manager added, “He is a tough player who takes a lot of stick, but he has been one of our better players so far this season.”
