Wallace retains Northern Ireland title
Patrick Wallace made it four wins on the spin in the Northern Ireland championship when he defeated Antrim’s Jordan Brown 10-2 in the final at the Pot Black club in Cookstown.
And, for the 45 year old former professional from Dungannon, there was added satisfaction because his seventh triumph in the national tournament set a new record that will surely stand for many years to come.
But, while the margin of victory may suggest that it was a bit of a landslide victory, the former world professional championship quarter-finalist insists it was nothing of the sort.
