St Patrick's Day event at Rathmore
A GREAT turnout of 145 entrants and very consistent scoring marked the Darren Clarke Trophy on St Patrick's Day at Rathmore Golf Club.
The top three places all scored 40 points off the back sticks and countbacks galore were needed to establish Donal McNicholl as the top man with Derek McAleese in second place and Alan Ball third.
Samuel Loughrey was alone in third spot on 39. Stephen Dunlop and Gary Stevenson, both with 38s, were in fifth and sixth places respectively.
Plus 3 handicapper, Wayne Telford, carded a 72 to take best gross just one ahead of Rory Houston.
