Semple, who won a host of top flight honours during his career, is now a coach with Maiden City Soccer Academy and he goes for a 3-4-3 formation.
So here's Semps best 11 players he played with and the reasons why....
13. Graeme Philson
Graeme Philson (Substitute - Institute): Played with Philsy at both Linfield and Stute. Another player who I developed a great understanding and partnership with over the years. Me right midfield and Philsy right back but usually he was further forward than me. A leader on the pitch who was great in the air, loved a tackle and most of all a diagonal ping, all I used to hear was 'set me Semps'.
14. Raymond McGuinness
Raymond McGuinness (Substitute - Institute): A player who you would want in your team every day of the week. McGinn played a massive part in our successful promotion challenge at Stute, controlling everything from the midfield holding roll. A true leader who demanded the best and nothing less from everyone which we needed. Loved a tackle and definitely did not lose to many.
15. Gary Beckett
Gary Beckett (Substitute - Derry City): Another talented gifted footballer who was just so calm in or out of possession. Had a great football brain and could see things that other players could not. Bing had one of the best touches I have ever seen in the game. Great on the ball and scored so many crucial goals for Derry.
16. Stephen Parkhouse
Stephen Parkhouse (Substitute - Institute): I played with my good friend Parkie over a number of years with Stute, we always had a great understanding and developed a good partnership on the pitch together. Parkie was another player with amazing ability, strong and had a fantastic first touch, great in the air and could score all types of goals, which he did all through his career.
