Coates gears up for Superstock event
Newtownabbey’s Nikki Coates (below) goes in the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship at Brands Hatch this weekend on the Moto Breakers ZX10 Kawasaki alongside team-mate and ex-MotoGP rider, Danny Webb.
In his pre-season tests at Brands and Oulton he was well on the pace.
Nikki was in good form when he said: “The tests went well. We haven’t had a lot of time on the bike but I was happy that my times were slightly better than Danny’s, especially at Brands where the opening race takes place.
“It is a new class for me and I am looking forward to it a lot.”
