BYMX Youth Championship returns to Desertmartin venue

AFTER a two year lapse, round 6 of the British Youth Championship returns to Northern Ireland, to the well known Desertmartin Motocross Track on Friday 5th and Saturday the 6th August.

Many young riders will be travelling from all over the UK Mainland , the Isle of Man and from all parts of the North and South of Ireland to take part in this prestige event with their team of mechanics, supporters and families .

Cookstown Club Members Callum and Jason Meara are contesting the Junior and BW85 classes this year and both are in the top five of the Championship overall .Big brother John who is combing the adult and youth classes this year and will also compete in the open class for this round.

The Meara family are completely dedicated to motocross and are a credit to the club, as is Mum, Breda Meara, who also plays a large part in organizing the youth events for the Cookstown Club .

Motocross is a great family day out with refreshments and food being served at the track.

There are fantastic spectator areas to watch the racing from and there is also a chance to speak to the riders and their families about the sport.

The Cookstown Motocross Club would like to invite you to come along and support our young riders as they could be the stars of the future. Entry to watch the event is free . The track is situated on the Rectory Road , Tobermore BT45 5QW.
