Minister expresses sympathy at death of GAA player

The footballer died while training with St. Aidan’s Magilligan GAC in Limavady on Thursday night

The Minister said: “It is always tragic when a sportsperson dies at a young age, particularly in this instance, when they were taking part in training for the sport they loved.

“Steven’s death has shocked the GAA across Derry and beyond. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and the wider Magilligan GAC community at this sad time.”
