McAlister and Burns fire Larne past Academy
McAlister bagged his three tries within the first 10 minutes after solid work from the pack at lineout.
The backs got in on the action when Ryan Garrett took a quick tap penalty, evaded a few defenders and crossed the line and secure a bonus-point try. With Andrews adding a few extras from conversions, it meant Larne had raced into a 26-0 lead.

Hide AdAcademy tried to fight back but never really threatened the home sides’ line and it didn’t take long for full-back Burns to get his rewards with a try.
A rejuvenated Academy meant it was end-to-end rugby in the second session but Burns extended the Larne lead before Andrews crossed the line after a neat chip over the top.
Academy hit back and moved the ball wide for their pacey winger to cross in the corner. They were then awarded a penalty try after getting the nudge on at a scrum on the Larne five-metre line.
As the game was already out of sight the Larne men looked to ensure they did not allow Academy to secure a bonus point after scoring their third try.
