Mossley edged into the lead on 15 minutes from a penalty corner when David Glenny fired the ball low under the Kilkeel keeper. Kilkeel hit back from a penalty corner of their own when a fortunate bounce at the head of the circle gave first runner Ricky McClintock no chance and Kilkeel swung on the loose ball to fire past McMillan in the Mossley goal.

Kilkeel posed a constant threat and they notched the winner when they found the net with a reverse-stick strike in the second session following some neat build-up play. In Junior League 1, the 2nd XI fell to a 3-0 defeat against Annadale 2nd XI. The Thirds lost 3-1 away to Antrim III, with Neil Cooke netting for Mossley.
