This was a very grueling but very watchable match which began with a promising start from Ballymoney Thirds who dominated the pitch giving the forwards some goal opportunities.

The Rainey girls were quick to react changing up their passing and getting infront of players. The pace of the match soon increased making it a level playing field.

However Ballymoney rose to the challenge with a strong defence from the back line. Ballymoney’s sweeper, Lisa Burns produced a brilliant performance hitting some unstoppable balls past the Rainey players, setting up the forwards who took several efforts on goal.

After half time Rainey continued to add pressure however the Ballymoney defence stayed strong and the match resulted in a very dignified 0-0 score.
