Winter League starts at Foyle

FIVE handicapper Martin Kivelehan with 40 points won the club stableford competition on Saturday, second was Paul McDaid (11) who took scored 40 points, last Wednesday’s competiiton was won by Paul Charlsworth and Kevin McCallion was second.

The Crumley Construction monthly medal category 0-11 was won by Kieran Duffy (11) who scored nett 64, the category 12-17 was secured by David Knox (Junior) (12) after he finished with nett 69 and Andrew McKeever (22) with nett 67 won the category 18+.

There will be a Prize Presentation at Foyle on Saturday, at 5pm for the following Competitions and all prize winners listed below are asked to attend or send a deputy. Autumn Trophy - Colin Doherty, Cormac McGeady, Robert Gallagher and Kris McMorris, Paul McCahill, Maurice Temple. The Annual Desmond Motors Winter League will start on Sunday, with the qualifying running until Sunday, December 3.

The Open Teams of 4 Competition with the best two scores to count at each hole, has a best eight cards to count from ten with the top eight Qualifying Teams playing in the Final on Saturday 8th December for the four prizes on offer.

This will be Desmond Motors 14th Year to sponsor this very successful event and everyone at Foyle are deeply indebted to them for their continued and generous sponsorship.

While on Saturday the Crumley Construction Monthly Medal Final takes centre stage (See Notice Board for list of Qualifiers) members playing should report to Club at 12.15pm as tee off will be 12.30pm.

On Sunday, Mr Eddie Ball’s Captains Day away to Ballyliffin will take place, while the Turkey Competitions start and continue daily.
