Win for Pedlow

Carrickfergus Golf Club’s re-scheduled Ladies’ Open Stableford was played in midweek and Helen Pedlow emerged as the winner with 41 points.

Ballyclare’s Audrey Luke finished in second place with 39 points ahead of Angeline McWilliams who carded 36 points.

Lorna Hill, Sandra Wallace and Natasha McWilliams all scored 35 points while Joyce Logan and Helen Vizard finished their round with 34 points.

Anja McIlwrath won the Gross Prize, Debbie Skilling the front-nine prize and Beatrice McQuitty the second-nine prize.

Nearest to the pin prizes were won by Lorraine Gibson, Cara Smith, Ann Forsythe, Debbie Skilling and Emma Getty.

Andrew Dillon and Mark Hill from Carrickfergus Golf Club and Iain Winsby and Ryan Craig from Whitehead Golf Club will be striving to finish top of the leader board when they take to the tee today (August 23) at Dunmurry Golf Club for the inaugural ‘Bryan Somers Travel Junior Golfer Competition 2012’, endorsed by Junior Golfer Ireland.
