Philip finished with 41 points, just edging out Eamon Lynch into second spot, also with 41 points.

In third place was Dwaine Hanna 40 points while the best gross was recorded by Michael McSherry who carded 38 points.

The other section results are as follows: Low: Sean Toman 39pts; Middle: Eoin Murphy 39pts; High: Andy Cunningham 36pts.

Highlight of the day was yet another hole in one for Kevin McKavanagh, his second ace in just six weeks.

Kevin hit an eight iron at the eighth before the ball dropped into the hole on it’s second bounce. Well done Kevin.

In the Ladies Daisy Ferguson Greensomes Competition Sheena McStay and Katrina Bradford were the lucky winners with 34 points.

In the Ladies July Medal two friends shared the honours in Sian Mulholland winning section 1 with nett 67 and Orla O’Dowd winning with nett 72.

The U19 Girls B team overturned a 2-1 defeat at home against Holywood by beating them 2-1 Sunday, to progress to the semi-final.

The team were one player down, with Maeve Cummins unavailable, but they had a secret weapon, as a reserve, in the form of Ulster Girls Champion Niamh Ward. Despite giving 9 shots to her opponent Niamh won 5/3. Annabel Wilson who had to give 8 shots and unfortunately lost leaving Eadaoin Ward’s match as the decider with Eadaoin needing to win by 3 holes to avoid the first match going down tie holes. Eadaoin went 1 up at 15, 2 up at 16, and with the pressure getting to her opponent, had the 17th eventually conceded to her to win 3/1.

The girls now play their semi-final against Donaghadee at Knock on 25th July.

The Fred Daly team followed up a good home result of 5.5 to 1.5, with an emphatic away win of 7-0 at Castle Hume on Sunday. This was a great result for the boys as they were missing a few players, due to holidays, but Ronan McGivern and Conor McDonald filled in admirably by winning their matches in both legs.

This result sees the boys progress to the quarter finals where they meet Strabane.

Seamus Cushley had is name pulled out of the hat in this weeks Joker Draw but unfortunately for him the Joker card wasn’t turned.
