Maude takes early Monthly Medal lead

First place and 10 points went to Dan Maude (27), second was Edwin Gallagher (15) who gained 9 points and Clifford Caldwell (16) took third place for 8 points.

On Sunday the Greysteel Playgroup held a fundraiser at the club that was very well attended and which raised some much needed funds for a very worthy cause.

The club would especially like to thank those members of Strabane, North-West and Greencastle Golf Clubs for their support. In first place was Martin Mailey (18) with 40 points.

Second spot went Tony Griffiths (20) with 38 points and third place went to Martin Patton (13) from Strabane Golf Club, with 37 points.

The front nine prize went to Terry Dornan (14) with 21 points and the back nine prize was won by Alan Campbell (23) also with 21 points.

The “nearest the pin” competition was won by Kevin Mullan of Greencastle Golf Club.

Sunday also marked the start of the club’s doubles match-play competition kindly sponsored by My Physio and the draw is posted on the noticeboard.

While James Dalzell (18) with 43 points claimed the Easter Weekend Open, which was kindly sponsored by Donnelly & Taggart of Campsie.

This Saturday the club host a two man foursomes Open competition sponsored by North-West Pork and on Sunday there will be an Open Stableford competition.

Bank Holiday Monday marks the start of the North-West Pork ten-sheet challenge.
