Hasson picks up new driver

ON Saturday Faughan Valley held an Open Stableford competition with a Cleveland Launcher driver up for grabs and six handicapper Peter Hasson from City of Derry with a score of 42 points claimed first place and picked up the driver.

In second spot was Frank McClintock (12) with 41 points and Paul Farren (20) took third spot with 38 points.

Congratulation to Niall McTaggart who had an Ace on the 137 yard par 3, 7th hole.

On Sunday the club held it’s Monthly Medal competition, with a newcomer to the club taking the honours.

Bosco Farren (24) with 62 nett secured first spot, in second place was 15 handicapper Brian Gallagher with 64 nett and 24 handicapper Eoghan Brolly was third with 65 nett.

In the mid week competition, the winner playing off a handicap of 21 was Andrew Craig with a score of 39 points, second was decided on a break of tie between Barry Reilly (15) and Alan Cheung (17) both carding 38 points, with Reilly just coming out on top.

A reminder to all golfers that this weekend is a charity weekend with proceeds going to: Friends of Altnagelvin, Autism NI, and Faughan Vale Community Care, with a full compliment of prizes for Ladies and Gents.
