Hampers competition at Redcastle

Taking advantage of the unusually favourable weather conditions competition remains as keen as ever in Redcastle Golf Clubs Winter League.

Mark Wilson continued his good form by winning week 7 on a break of tie with a fine 28 points over twelve holes closely followed by Billy Harkin also with 28 points with Andy Riddle in third place also with 28 points.

Week 8 was won with 28 points by Bo Kelly with John Murray placed second with 28 points closely followed by Paul Murray in third with 27 points.

Willie Watson scored an excellent 31 points winning week 9 followed by George Dunlop with 28pts with Vincent Glenn placed third with 27 points.

Terry Green took first place scoring 29 points on a break of tie winning last week’s Winter League closely followed by Dan Joe McLaughlin also with 29 points. John Murray was placed in third place also with 29 points.

Terry Green remains in first place overall in the Winter League with 54 points closely followed by John Murray with 53 points and Paul Murray 45 points.

Members are reminded that the Winter League Hampers competition will take place this Sunday. This Stableford Competition will be played over 18 holes with a shotgun start.

Members are asked to arrive at 9am for a 9.30am start.

To qualify members must have played five times in the winter league and to go free members must have played twelve times. Presentation of hampers takes place immediately after the competition.
