GOLF: B&M Homestore Club classic starting at Foyle

As Paddy Coyle (11) finished runner up, with James Meehan (23) continuing his return to form finishing second with 40 points.

Hide AdThe gross winner was Stephen Martin after he scored 36 points; the back nine went after a BOT finish to six handicapper Darragh Glynn after he scored 22 and the Ladies category went to Margaret Killen (21) after she scored 20 points.
The club stableford competition went to Dane McCafferty (19) after he scored 42 points and Gary McCloskey (13) with 39 points was second.
The Club Competitions get underway tomorrow (Wednesday), Thursday, Saturday and Sunday the B&M Homestore club classic (re-entry permitted) competition, while the Friday Open Stableford will also be played.
Next Monday, Tuesday and Thursday is a Confined Over 50’s (one card only) competition.

Hide AdMeanwhile the Faughan Valley Ladies stableford competition was won by Kathleen Cooke (27) after she scored 35 points.
Second was Evelyn Smith (28) after finishing with 32 points and Jackie McNulty (28) scored 32 points to claim third spot.
The Ladies open day takes place on Saturday and members should book a tee time by ringing (028) 71680707.
While the Redcastle Ladies ILGU Tankard competition on Monday went to Mary McArthur.
Second was Nuala McQuaide and Suzanne McGonigle was third.
Next week’s competition is the Maureen Barr Trophy.
