Unhappy at decisions

GLENAVON Reserves and Thirds both made the long trip to Ballinamallard last Saturday and both left feeling aggrieved after some strange decisions went against them.

The Reserves have been in great form of late and they raced into a two goal lead through Robbie McDaid and Jude Ballard.

Ballinamallard struck back however and with the help of some poor refereeing decisions which included a red card for Jordan Dane they ended up getting an unlikely 3-2 victory.

The Thirds had similar problems with the man in the middle and the home side went into a 3-0 lead despite some good play from Glenavon. Solid claims for a penalty were dismissed but nonetheless Glenavon fought back and incredibly went into a 4-3 lead with goals from Matty Andrews, Gary Lavery, Andrew Hoey and Tomas Diamond.

The last five minutes saw Ballinamallard turn it round again and they ran out 5-4 winners.
