Unbeaten run put to test at Seaview

The Lurgan Blues take on champions Crusaders in what will be a tough test as the visitors will seek to keep their unbeaten three match run going, they have lost just once, to Linfield, since a 2-1 loss to the Crues at Mournview Park in August.

“Because of the plastic pitch Kris Lindsay nor I will figure in the game,” said Hamilton.

“David Elebert is not ready yet. He is back in training and will need a couple of reserve games. We might not risk Mark Patton on the 3G and a couple of other players have niggling injuries.

“Andy McGrory comes in and we will wait and see how new signing Daniel Kearns is in training. He has not played much but we want to get him into the team as quickly as possible. He has a good CV having played in England and he will be an asset to the team.

“It’s going to be tough at Seaview, but we will try and come up with a plan that works. We will not go there and sit back and allow them to pin us down. That is only asking for trouble.

“They are very dangerous at set-pieces, like to play the long ball up to Jordan Owens and we have to keep an eye on the always dangerous Paul Heatley and Gavin Whyte.

“We will try and attack as much as possible and make them defend in their own third. They are vulnerable in defence so we must work on any weakness they have.

“We have players who can win games and we are also dangerous from set-pieces too .”
