Tommons goal gives Coleraine vital win

Coleraine all but secured Premiership safety with a single-goal victory over Warrenpoint Town on Saturday.

Gareth Tommons’ strike midway through the second half was enough for the Bannsiders to come away with all three points as Town stayed second bottom.

The deadlock was broken on 67 minutes with a well-taken finish by Tommons.

Michael Hegarty’s cleverly disguised through pass found Tommons unmarked just inside the area and despite being under pressure from Warrenpoint captain John Boyle, Tommons managed to slide the ball past Parr to claim the win for Oran Kearney’s men.
