Lurgan Blues hammered at Seaview

GLENAVON’S disastrous run of form continued with a 5-1 hammering by Crusaders at Seaview on Saturday.

The game was over by half-time, with Timmy Adamson scoring twice. The first a tap in, but his second was superbly finished after a wonderful solo burst from Paul Heatley.

Gary McCutcheon headed his sixth goal of the season, while Jordan Owens punished some woeful Glenavon defending seconds before the interval, heading in from close range.

Heatley grabbed the goal he deserved early in the second half, squeezing the ball past goalkeeper Andy Coleman following a superb McCutcheon cross.

Glenavon’s Andy McGrory hit a screamer in the last minute, which dipped over Sean O’Neill from fully 35 yards, but it was a day the visitors will want to forget.
