Kincaid was admitted to hospital last Friday afternoon following suffering a suspected heart attack.

However, he was released earlier this week following a series of tests, which revealed that the Whites’ boss had not had a heart attack.

Kincaid is expected to return to his role with the Whites, however, no date has been arranged as yet.

A club spokesperson said: “Lisburn Distillery are delighted to report that manager Tommy Kincaid has been released from hospital following his recent heart scare. Several tests were done during his time in hospital which have enabled staff to identify the cause of the problem which, thankfully, was not a heart attack as first feared.

“Tommy will return to his role as manager of Lisburn Distillery in due course but in the meantime has asked us to pass on his thanks to everyone who has wished him well over the last week and also to express his gratitude to the staff at the Ulster Hospital for their care of him since his hospitalisation.

“Andy Harwood will continue to look after first team affairs until Tommy is able to return and we would ask at this time that the privacy of Tommy and his family circle continues to be respected,” they added.
