Devine happy with Osbourne signing

The left back, who has signed until the end of the season after getting released from Dundalk on Monday, should go straight into the City squad for their trip to Tallaght if his clearance comes through.

Osbourne’s signing could meant that last season’s regular left-back Dermot McCaffrey may leave the club during this transfer window.

The Brandywell men travel to Dublin with a number of injury worries with the likes of Barry Molloy, Ruaidhri Higgins and Rory Patterson all struggling, while Kevin Deery and Patrick McEleney look certain to miss out.

On the plus side both Osbourne’s and Davy McDaid’s clearance came through and are both available for selection.
