Ten minutes before half time, however, Lurgan took the lead when Luke Forsey reacted quickest in the box and made no mistake from 10 yards. 1-0 Lurgan at half time.

Town took control of the game in the second half and began to get their passing game going.

The second goal came from a Ciaran Rooney corner which evaded everyone and ended up in the net.

Lurgan added a third when a pinpoint free kick from Mathew Bann found Aaron Duke unmarked in the box and he side footed a good finish into the net.

Forsey then got his second and Lurgan's fourth volleying into the net after some great play by David Kennedy.

Greenisland got a goal back after a defensive mistake but Aaron Duke quickly restored Town's four goal cushion, picking up a through ball and again finishing well. 5-1 to Lurgan at the end, a deserved victory after a good second half performance.

Best for Town was Mathew Bann.
