Dalriada success at Inter-Schools competition
TWO teams from Dalriada were entered in the recent inter-schools archery competition held at The Range Archery Centre in Ballymoney and came away gaining 1st and 3rd place in the team event and 2nd and 3rd place in both the boys and girls events.
The winning team members were Laura Cull, Jonny Kinnaird and Ross McCracken, scoring a total of 832 points. Gavin Beckett, David Kane and Catherine Graham scored 780 points which put them in 3rd place.
In the individual event Ross McCracken was a very close 2nd in the boys event with Gavin Beckett in 3rd. Laura Cull was placed 2nd in the girls event with Catherine Graham 3rd .
A very good performance from a group of archers who had only been taking part in the sport for 8 weeks.
