The local challenge looks likely to be fronted by Connor Bradley who will go for a podium place in the mens 3,000m, determined to compensate for what he termed a below par run last Saturday at the UK championships in Sheffield.

The Spartan did run a season’s pb of 8m 16s for the distance in Sheffield but expected a lot more and has vowed to improve significantly this weekend.

His trainng by all accounts has gone well, last weekend could have been a blip but with National medals at stake he will travel with confidence in his ability to deliver a performance.

Lets hope it pans out for him, whether its tactical or a blast from the gun, a podium spot is very much on the cards.
