Spectacular fight night announced for fundraiser
Two local boxing clubs, Churchlands Golden Gloves from Coleraine and Scorpion from Ballymoney, have joined forces with the Caring Caretaker, Davy Boyle, to put on a much-anticipated fight night in the Lodge Hotel in Coleraine on Friday 4th April.
The cream of local boxing talent from the two clubs, which includes Irish, Ulster and County champions will take on an England select in what is an international boxing first for the Coleraine area.

Hide AdMickey Fleming, who is a coach at Golden Gloves, is putting on the show with his Scorpion counterpart, Alan ‘Spike’ Martin, and he told Times Sport excitement is building.
“Our young boxers can’t wait for this opportunity,” said Mickey.
“Spectators on the night will be treated to a fantastic night of boxing as the local lads, who are all Irish, Ulster or County champions, take on ABA champions, Harringay Cup winners and European gold medal winners.
“It’s going to be a fantastic night raising funds for a great cause.”

Hide AdThere will also be an auctionof sport memorabilia on the including a pair of boxing gloves signed by Carl Frampton.
