The Coleraine Times can reveal that dad of two, Ian McClelland, is one of 16 contestants who will be catapulted into a giant obstacle course while trying to win major prizes that are tantalisingly out of reach.

But just one lucky contestant will win the chance to take home their prize haul.

The show is presented by Zoe Ball and Ashley Banjo with commentary by Sue Perkins.

Ian, who is from Newmills Road and runs a farm and Tullans Caravan Park, responded to an email from the BBC looking for contestants for the show last February.

“It really was a fascinating experience and I really enjoyed it.”

A former hooker, Ian also played in the back row for Coleraine during his playing days.

He is married to Jillian and the couple have two children, Isla (8) and Noah (7) who will be dead excited to see their dad on telly!

Can’t Touch This continues this Saturday on BBC One, at 5.30pm.
