Yellowmoon is to launch its move during Fashion Fest 2015.

Yellowmoon will be using the FashionFest, which runs from November 12 to 14, to launch its new shop.

Store Manager Mari McElgunn said: “We’re really looking forward to the move which will provide more space for us to showcase our ranges in a busy city centre location. I know we have a dedicated customer base and they will still come to Yellowmoon for the brands they love, but the new location will open us up to new customers and passing trade.

“We decided to hold our launch event during Fashion Fest as it’s the perfect showcase event for local businesses and an opportunity to show the public that Derry is a fashion conscious city full of creative talent. I’m really looking forward now to the big move and I hope to see a good turnout for the event.”

The store is one of a number of businesses engaging with the Fashion Fest programme this year, organised by Derry City and Strabane District Council and running from November 12-14.

Council’s Business Opportunities Manager Louise Breslin, said: “I’m delighted to see local retailers making the most of the festival and planning events to coincide with Fashion Fest. The programme aims to support local businesses and develop meaningful links between emerging new talent and established designers and retailers to the mutual benefit of both.

“We have a wealth of creative talent here in the city and we hope to assist in taking them to the next stage in their career by providing showcase and development opportunities for their work. It’s great to see established businesses such as Yellowmoon leading the way even after 25 years.”
