WELB grants for peace schemes

THE Western Education and Library Board’s (WELB) Youth Service has announced a small grants programme for the provision of Community Relations, Equality and Diversity (CRED) projects by bona fide youth groups and community organisations that have experience of working with young people.

A maximum of £3000 per project will be awarded to applicant organisations which demonstrate clearly in the application form that the majority of the proposed programme will work to address inclusion issues in a developmental fashion. Projects must be completed by mid-February 2012.

The CRED scheme is funded by the Department of Education (DE) and aims to enable children and young people to understand and deal with difference.
