Walkers urged to join sea of pink

Action Cancer is calling on men and women from the Carrick area to join the sea of pink and sign up to take part in this year’s SuperValu Moonlight Walk.

All money raised will support Action Cancer’s unique breast screening service, the only one of its kind in Northern Ireland.

Now in its sixth year, the SuperValu MoonLight Walk will take place on Friday June 20 at 9pm. Last year nearly 1,000 participants completed the ten mile walk which departs from Custom House Square Belfast, goes around the City Centre up Malone Road and then back again.

All participants are encouraged to dress in pink to help raise awareness of the importance of breast screening and early detection.

Prizes are given out on the night for the best dressed individuals and teams. The event kicks off at 7.30pm with a real party atmosphere with fun music from Cool FM and a warm up from the infamous Fitness Freddy before setting off on the walk at 9pm.
