UPDATE: Body found could be that of missing man

Just today, the Ballymoney & Moyle Times newspaper carried a renewed appeal for information on the 24-year-old who has not been seen since 16 July when he disappeared from the Westgate area of the town.

His family had become increasingly concerned about his whereabouts.

UTV are reporting that police officers this evening said the body of a man in his 20s had been found in Ballymoney.

They said that formal identification has not yet been carried out, however the body is believed to be missing person Michael Hanna, who was from the town.

Police added that at this stage the death is not being treated as suspicious.
