Watch: Eddie Reader singing famed Robert Burns ballad in Londonderry
All over the North West this evening (January 25) people will be celebrating the life and works of Scotland’s most famous poet, Robert Burns.
To get you into the spirit here’s a Sentinel recording of Eddie Reader performing one of his most famous songs in Londonderry last year.
The former Fairground Attraction frontwoman and folk star is joined by Altan’s Maireád Ní Mhaonaigh and traditional singers Jackie Oates (England) and Julie Murphy (Wales) on backing duties, for her interpretation of the Robert Burns ballad, My Love is like a Red, Red Rose.
