AMC Aquatics has already availed of the Innovate Us course.

The Limavady firm wanted to find a way to reduce energy costs and began a project that provided a placement for Mark, a NWRC Engineering student, to work with them.

Mark developed an innovative low energy lighting unit. This new energy saving concept offered a programmable lighting solution for previously high use aquaria, and cut costs. Mark’s project also won The Royal Academy of Engineering Award at the 2013 BEST Awards which recognise creativity and excellence in STEM in Northern Ireland.

“This innovative approach to business support provides flexible training to meet the needs of small enterprises, with 30 hours of free training, face to face, when they want it and delivered where they want it.”

Business with less than 50 employees that would benefit from the FREE tailored training are invited to contact Rachel Crossan on 028 7127 6170 or email [email protected].
