New marker totackle bandits
A more robust fuel marker has been identified to combat cross-border fuel bandits.
Secretary of State Theresa Villiers said: “Following a joint UK/Irish project, a more robust fuel marker has been identified for use in the UK and Ireland to tackle the laundering of rebated fuels.
“Further details regarding its implementation and details of the new marker will be announced by Treasury Ministers in due course.”
