Tullygarley and DistrictResidents' Association's perfect picture gift

A VERY notable event took place at the Annual General Meeting of the Tullygarley and District Residents' Association, with Mrs Mabel White (esteemed Hon. Treasurer), on behalf of the Association, presenting paintings to Ballymena Borough Council and to FP McCann (Constructors of the new Tullygarley Bridge).

On the evening of April 26, the set of paintings were presented which showed two views of Tullygarley Bridge, Old and New. The painting were skilfully rendered by a local artist Louise Esler.

The Residents' Association thereby wished to mark the passing of the old bridge and the installation of the new.

The Association hoped that the district of Tullygarley would thus be represented on the walls of the Borough Council Chambers amongst graphic reminders of other rural areas of Ballymena.

Tullygarley is slowly gaining recognition as an outlying hamlet of Ballymena and the Residents' Association hope that facilities for all residents will continue to improve. To determine the views of residents a anonymous questionnaire will shortly be distributed to ascertain the aspirations and travails of those living in Tullygarley. The questionnaires when analyzed will indicate where the efforts for the future should be directed. So if you live in Tullygarley then please complete and return the questionnaire.
