Three treated by roadside following four-car smash on Cookstown-Dungannon Road

Northern Ireland Ambulance Service personnel treated three people for injuries by the roadside following a four car pile-up between Cookstown and Dungannon this morning (Monday).

A spokesperson for the service said they sent two crews to the scene after reports of the incident at 8.52am.

Police closed the road to traffic in both directions, with diversions in place to disperse rush-hour traffic.

A message on the police news line this morning said there were no reports of serious injuries and the Fire Service confirmed it was not involved.

In a statement NIAS said: “Two ambulances and one officer attended. Three patients were treated at the scene, but none were transported to hospital.”
