It tells of visits to creeks, islets, secret harbours and landfalls on shores near and fAR. The book is packed with sailing tips and anecdotes from Cape Horn to Norway, the Azores to the Aegean.

Wallace Clark (1926-2011), author of Sailing Round Ireland, Rathlin. Its Island Story, Sailing Round Russia, and Donegal Islands - among others - died before he could complete this, his last book.

Wallace had been working with book editor Tara Mackie before his death, and Tara continued work on the book with Wallace’s son Bruce of The Economist, and formerly of the Financial Times and The Times.

The book was completed with help from the author’s widow June as well as his brother Henry (a former MP for North Antrim who died in March 2012) and sister Jill. The cover illustration is by the author’s grandson Finnian, a professional artist.
