Swimming pools to close for work
The swimming pools at the Valley Leisure Centre are scheduled to close this Christmas for a period of 12 weeks.
At their June meeting, members of the council’s Development Committee approved the closure to allow essential refurbishment work to be carried out.
The work on the water distribution pumps and pipework, and the water treatment plant is expected to cost more than £140,000 and is part of an overall £700,000 refurbishment plan for the borough’s three leisure centres - the Valley, Ballyearl and Sixmile.
