Special reception for local officers

A number of staff and officers from Coleraine Police Service were welcomed by the Mayor, councillor Sam Cole, to celebrate their outstanding success as individuals and teams in the recent Northern Ireland ‘Policing With the Community’ Awards.

Councillor Cole congratulated Coleraine Police Service for their success.

“As an elected member of the newly formed Coleraine Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP), which is administered and match funded through Coleraine Borough Council, this reception was a fitting occasion to celebrate local police achievements,” said Cllr Cole.

“It created an opportunity to highlight the confidence with which Coleraine PCSP is going forward with its work in partnership with the police and the community. I firmly believe that by working in partnership with the police and the community we can deliver on our commitment to reduce crime and the fear of crime. We also aim to enhance community safety for all the citizens of the borough.”
