Roy to use EP launchgig to help fundraisefor Fountain musical

Roy Arbuckle will be using the launch of his new EP, ‘Shoulda Wore Me Jumper,’ in the Holywell Trust this Saturday (December 6), as an opportunity to raise funds for his forthcoming musical based on the Fountain.

The new record features Roy Arbuckle and the LEG-ENDS, Colum Arbuckle, Jim Whiteside and Jonny Nutt and will be available to buy on the night of the launch party.

Doors open at 8pm and it will be a ‘bring your own’ refreshments evening with £10 admission.

All proceeds from the party will go towards a new musical, ‘The Fountain,’ which Roy is currently working on and which will be going into production in 2015.

There will be a competition for Best Jumper, Worst Jumper, Silliest Jumper, Best Christmas Jumper etc so remember to ‘wear your jumper!’ The title track of the new EP is a laugh out loud look at all those times when you were underdressed and the voice of your mother echoed through the years: ‘Ye shouda wore yer jumper!’ ‘Dead Man’s Raybans’ came out of a visit to the St Vincent DePaul Store in Greystones, County Wicklow and is a continual chuckle with a great singalong chorus. ‘Tullyally Takeaway’ is a country song like all the other great country songs except it’s based here! The EP will be available online at https://royarbuckle1.bandcamp.com and locally at Cool Discs Foyle Street.
