Raymond steps into boost fundraiser

A fundraiser for the sick daughter of Larne storyteller Billy Teare has raised £150.

In response to a recent appeal in the Larne Times, Raymond Anderson stepped in to boost the appeal in aid of 26-year-old Grace Teare.

Grace is currently undergoing between eight to 12 weeks of chemo and radiotherapy treatment at a specialist hospital in Liverpool for cervical cancer.

This is taking her away from her home in the Isle of Man from her partner and two-year-old
son.

Although the Isle of Man government pays for her travel, Grace has appealed to the community to help her raise £3,000 so that they can spend time with her during her treatment.

Raymond was joined in his charity effort, singing outside McFarlane’s Chemist, at Main Street, by Jim Rankin, William Lloyd and Harry
Harkness.

Billy said: “I am very touched by their actions.

“I would like to thank Raymond and his band of local heroes and the folk of Larne for their generosity.”
