Rathlin fundraiser

SINGER Frances Black brought along a stellar line-up to raise money for her addiction charity.

Her daughter, Aoife Scott, along with her niece Roisin O - a daughter of singer Mary Black - provided back-up for the RISE Foundation benefit concert in Vicar Street, Dublin.

Also in action were RTE’s Aonghus McAnally, who acted as MC, singers Paddy Casey, Brian Kennedy, US folk singer John Prine and Altan.

Ms Black, who has admitted to being an alcoholic, set up the charity to support families of addicts. She is hoping to raise more than £1 million to build a dedicated addiction awareness and education centre on Rathlin, where she has family links.
