Psychic mediumship with Tony Stockwell

BALLYMENA is set for a spiritual awakening later this month when top TV psychic Tony Stockwell hosts an Evening of Psychic Mediumship at The Braid on Thursday, May 20.

Often working with photographs or objects, Tony uses his abilities to communicate messages from those who have passed on.

Speaking to the Ballymena Times before he hosts his first ever Ballymena show, Tony said he was looking forward to meeting local people.

"I have been doing demonstrations all over the world but this is the first time I have visited Ballymena," Tony said.

He added: "Every show is different, it is the only show in production where the main act has no idea what is going to happen during the show, there are no rehearsals or no scripts.

"The atmosphere of the place will effect the demonstration if its more energetic it will certainly come across in the show. Whatever the atmosphere in Ballymena, the Irish audience are always very up for it, they really put their hearts and soul into it."

During his 20 years working as a medium, Tony has constantly striven to push the boundaries of his communication with those who have passed to the other side.

In that time he has had numerous television programmes as well as setting up his own training school for developing mediums.

So what can we expect from the evening? Tony explained: "It is a lively show and a very interactive experience. During a good message the whole audience will get involved."

Recent legislative guidelines insist that any evening of clairvoyance should be billed ‘for entertainment purposes’. Tony certainly uses his natural wit, showmanship and Cockney charisma to entertain but he believes mediumship has the potential to change someone’s life and instil in them a sense of peace, comfort and purpose.

He added: "It's not about predictions or anything like that, it can help people with comfort and closure, not in some deluded way. I will usually come up with some information that is unusual and couldn't be guessed.

"There is always a queue of people after the show waiting to talk to me and ask questions, usually I spend longer talking to people afterwards than the show itself."

For those who do not receive a message, the use of a big screen allows the audience to become deeply involved in the entire process taking them with him on a spiritual and emotional roller coaster. Tony hopes that through his current work he will make others aware that there’s something more than just our current lives.

Tony added: "Recently I did a show and was speaking to a husband and wife who had lost their young son to cancer.

"I said his name and it came to me that his mother kept a pair of his socks in her hand bag at all times, I asked her to check and there they were."
