£30k spent entering City of Culture contest

THE Department of Social Development (DSD) spent £30k on Londonderry's entry for the UK City of Culture 2013.

Social Development Minister Alex Attwood said a total of 30,625 was spent on the successful bid in 2009/10.

He was asked by Lord Morrow how much his Department and its arms-length bodies had spent on entering competitions, including staff time, entry fees and publications in each of the last three years.
