Price rise for Lammas Fair stalls

The price of hiring a trading stall at this year’s Lammas Fair in Ballycastle will rise by £40.

The decision to increase the price of a trading licence from £135 to £175 to cover clear-up costs was taken by Moyle District Council a number of weeks ago but had been put out to consultation to garner traders’ views.

A report to last night’s (Monday) Council meeting heard that out of 158 traders consulted, only five complained about the price hike and all of those complainants renewed their licence for this year.
