Police appeal for information over Linn Road fire

Police have released more details of a fire at a commercial premises on Linn Road last week in an effort to secure more information.

The incident took place at approximately 11.30pm on Monday December 5, when fire damage was caused to eight stock roller cages and a variety of break baskets at the commercial premises in Larne.

Constable Ryan McKenna said: “The CCTV system picked up a young male on a mountain bike with a dark rucksack, grey tracksuit bottoms, navy hooded top and striped beanie hat.

“CCTV shows the male entering the premises at 11.25pm, just before the damage is caused.

“He is then seen making off on his bike in the direction of Loran Road.

“We are appealing to anyone that may have any information regarding this incident or to anyone that may have witnessed the young male in the area at the time to contact Larne Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 261 on 06/12/16.

“Or, alternatively if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
