A WIND turbine is to be erected at Glen Road in Garvagh.

There were seven objections letters from two different objectors to the turbine, however the application was passed by planners at last Tuesday night’s planning meeting.

Office meeting for Glebe Road wind turbine

A DEVELOPER has been given an office meeting after an application for a wind turbine appeared on the planning schedule as a refusal.

The 100kw wind turbine, at Glebe Road, Garvagh, appeared as a refusal as planners felt that it was too close the public road and near a residential area.

SDLP councillor Roisin Loftus asked for an office meeting on the application, her proposal was seconded by councillor Duddy.

Office meeting for Portrush dwelling

AN office meeting is to be held about a planning application for a one hand a half storey dwelling adjacent to 56 Kerr Street in Portrush.

The application was on the planning schedule as a refusal at last Tuesday night’s planning committee meeting. Planners refused the application as they felt that it failed to provide a quality residential environment. Another refusal reasons included that there were no satisfactory parking arrangements in the plans.

Councillor David McClarty asked for an office meeting for the developer.

Dwelling and stables approved

PLANNING has been granted for a farm dwelling and stables at Atlantic Road in Portrush.

There was one objection , however planners gave the green light to the application.

Office meeting for Castle Erin development

AN office meeting is to be held about a planning application for four terraced houses and underground parking at West Strand House, Castle Erin in Portrush.

There were three objections to the application, which appeared on Tuesday’s planning schedule as a refusal.

However, Independent councillor Christine Alexander requested an office meeting on behalf of the applicant.

Captain street development deferred

AN application for a 70 bed nursing home, medical centre and renovation to existing houses at 18 to 36 Lower Captain Street has been granted deferred.

Planners had refused the application on the grounds that the layout was unacceptable, it failed to provide a quality residential environment and there were no satisfactory parking arrangements provided in the plans.

Councillor David McClarty asked if the application could be deferred for two weeks to allow the applicant time to submit revised plans.
