“I would like to take this opportunity to once again pay tribute to the volunteers right across South Antrim who give of their time to raise these vital funds to support our servicemen and women.

“With increased restrictions this year and financial pressures on many families, fundraising is much more difficult.

“Despite all these difficulties we face, it is of the upmost importance that we support the Poppy Appeal this year.

“I have no doubt that the people of South Antrim will do all they can to promote the Poppy Appeal and the wonderful work of the Royal British Legion.”
